The Bagan Balloon was built in 2005 as a home build, from the A & B panels of XY-AHA the first balloon in Bagan (Z-210). It was an exercise to keep the balloonists from getting bored while not out flying. The crew cut out the panels from patterns that Jackie had downloaded. Andy did the rigging (his previous job at Camerons) but the only trouble they had was getting the parachute to seal as it was a flat shape rather than being bulbous. In the end they got it sorted.
The home built balloon never flew. Subsequently It was sent to the UK and remained in storage until being donated to the collection.
